one of my new favorites!!!! oh my god. being autistic is punk as FUCK. i love the representation of being actually fucking autistic and off-putting. sometimes bigotry isn't written out for you on a paper for you to see in bright colors. neurotypical people just KNOW there's something wrong with you. they're mean when you're just sitting there.
for the average person the love of your life is not going to be some beautiful man who saves you and is perfect in every way. i like how raw this part is. people are flawed, that doesn't mean they are all bad. it's up to you to make that decision if you want that person in your life. autistic people deserve to have the autonomy to make their own decisions on what sub-culture they are apart of.
i love how imperfect the characters are. i love how they both still get to have their cheesy romance. a lot of bad reviews are about how cliche and silly the romance is, but i think this is what a lot of people are going to get, if they are lucky enough.
it's so important to appreciate what you have and know it won't be TV perfect. that's not real life and i'm sorry if your brain is so rotted that you think this way. people go to jail. people lie and cheat and steal and say fucked up things. that doesn't make them completely evil. to you, that person can be everything. that person can bring everything out in you.
